Horizons

The distance beckons with allure
To days and sights unknown, unsure;
Uncertain vistas sprawl unseen
As life progresses evergreen.

Travellers tread the winding road
From daybreak when the cock has crowed;
Into the night when light has gone
And life, regardless, marches on.

Across the maps of endless quest,
Seeking answers, finding rest;
Holding hands and letting go,
Unearth the truth or never know.

Time may fly, by no means cease,
Age may wither, fade, decrease;
But human hearts cannot forget
Horizons to be conquered yet.
