Hopless Breath

I take a breath
I take it in deep
I lay in my bed
But not asleep

The fan blades are spinning
My world is so still
But there is a voice
With a kiss it can kill

The night is dark
But the shadow stands out
The dark figure
Whispers, screams, shouts

But this shadow
It’s in my mind
What exactly
Does it want me to find

Like every morning
I open my eyes
Hope for the day
Without any lies
