Hoping
An evening of clarity,
Masking the hilarity.
A time spent invoking a wrath,
For I’ve not strayed from fates path.
Just a misstep or two,
But I’ve got my eyes on you.
The chemicals bursting through my seams,
A night haunted by the same dreams.
I thought it was you that I saw,
But you discouraged it with a call.
We both enjoyed a nice peaceful laugh,
As I peruse a past photograph.
But that was days ago.
Now I am haunted by woe.
I’ve laid it bare, I’ve stripped my mind.
Are your thoughts fair, are your thoughts kind?
We joked and smiled just like before.
We left on a good note, yet I’m wanting more.
Denouncing my minds battle ridden thought,
I believe we’re working towards what we sought.
A night of day dreaming, trying to intrude.
I’ve kept from screaming, with a tongue so lewd.
Words that you speak ringing of a plan.
An overwhelming mentality, took up and ran.
Do you still find the time, to cycle through every rhyme?
Is it still everyday, that you cry over me?
The words that we say, molding a future properly?
So please my darling, reassure me again.
Leave the demons snarling, and let our hope win.
So please my soul, don’t forget my tune.
We’ll make it whole, I’m hoping real soon.
