Hope's Light
Moonlight whispers a fading song
children listen and sing along
mothers rock sweet babes in their arms
praying God would keep them from harm.
Times are hard and winter is cruel
poor ones suffer with too little food
humbly they ask and humbly they wait
calling to God for charity's sake.
Whispers of love are heard in light's morn
sweet angels come to feed the forlorn
clothes for the little ones, eyes shine bright
hope springs anew and brings new life.
Daylight's promises reach far and wide
men trust God that He will provide
strength from above calms doubts and fears
whispering prayers that heaven will hear.
