Hopes for the future

One day we´ll be far away from here
With both our minds oh so clear
Hand in hand we'll walk down the street
And then I´ll give you a kiss on the cheek

“I used to dream of you,” I’ll say
“When you were still so far away”
“Yet somehow here we are,”
You’ll say as I’m wrapped in your arms

Alas, you’re still not here
But I have faith that soon my dear
That I will see you and you’ll be here
