Hopeless Romantic

A hopeless romantic,
That’s all I am.
I’ve feelings that even I,
Can’t understand.
My heart usually slips fast,
But you’ve somehow got hold.
And it makes me believe,
I’ll love you ‘til I grow old.
They say young love doesn’t last,
It’s bound to be broken.
Every time I get that thought,
The pain has me choking.
I know it won’t happen,
That we’re only a dream.
But still I imagine,
All we could be.
I don’t want to hide my feelings,
But I don’t want you to know,
That with every day that goes by,
My love for you grows.
