Hopeless Deniability
Words drift through lips so easily,
disbelief to broken promises made recently.
Void of decency,
although shrouded in secrecy.
Absent is life’s leniency,
awakened to unforgiving reality.
Heart yearning to rest peacefully,
so it seems souls never love evenly.
