Hope Unseen But Ever Heard

Behind a starlight fade
among darkness and shade
I heard a lullaby from across the way
but beyond me it stayed

I heard it only for a moment
and soon it had gone and fled
reminding once more in life
that happiness is not dead

I say this because I find the truth
either underneath sky or roof
that love and hope remain
even if from sight it refrain
