The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Hope Still Lives

However it may play out win or lose
Only the decisions define what we choose
Pretty soon everything just blends together
Every day seems to feel like it is forever.
Somebody calls out yet I can’t hear the words
Too many things I have already heard
Inside another day lies another chance
Losing my footing, to make a last stance
Left to myself I start to feel sad
Losing everything I wonder what I had
Intend doesn’t translate into what I said
Vivid are the colors that just become red
Emotions become confused with what is already shown
Somehow I thought I should have already known.
