Hope Is Found
Listen to poem:
“For hope is found when loss prevails,
fear is grounded and faith remains”
I need not the ones who turn away
when trouble faces me with dread.
A fever with chills runs down my
spine and I am saddened by her
uncompassionate heart.
But I shine like the eventide tangerine
sunset in the west-
I stop all the insecurity and know that
I am safe where I land.
I am equal to all who suffer in silence.
For I shall break free from the mossy
vines holding me back from healing-
I believe in myself for once.
No one can take away my pride,
or shadow me in the darkness of night.
I embrace my need to feel loved,
my desire to always be the one who
craves adoration and affection.
For I am but a woman longing to be
whole and centered;
encompassed in silk blankets to keep
me warm in the chill of pain.
"For hope is found when loss prevails…
and I believe in myself for once"
