Hope Has a Place

         Hope Has a Place

It blooms like a rose in your heart,
Then blossoms fullest on your face.
It's in all the mail you send,
That makes another heart sing!

It waltzes with grace in your poetry,
With near human dimensions!
You never even give a hint,
That you are a victim of depression.

Surrounded by ignoramuses, though you may be,
You stand tall, with pride and a bright smile.
You make totally sure, you never poison the air,
With that killer of souls ~ negativity!

Hi Andrea~ I have to choose daily to be in that space. Things upset me very much as you know so I have to monitor garbage. It is plentiful. But God is more loving than man and way wiser. So I don't pay heed to them. Humans will all die and yes, the Apocalypse is coming. Translation...Jesus is coming back. That beats covid anyway. A virus is not God... Be of good cheer..be ready for the Lord. Pangiexx

I always love to read poetry with a message of hope, and I really like your ending "killer of souls - negativity". We should be forces of positivity to balance out all the negativity around us. Good write, my friend.

Bob....hi, you are too nice! I see myself as kind of a simpleton.))) No shining star. Just want to reflect the glory of God, Of the United States and goodness of people in all nations! I was blessed to grow up in sane times. Eddie tho' only 13' has strong, positive feelings for the USA! He would never burn down a city, swear or attack police. If he's the future of the USA, we are in Goid shape! Pangiexx

Panagiota, Haven't seen anyone use 'ignoramuses' in a poem before. I think I could get used to it. Very glad I came. -Richard
