God
Why God?
I question to myself
A presence from long ago
You saved me by coming to me
I came to know of love despite feeling hate
You gave me hope from high above when I was low
I needed you like I needed the sun to shine in my dark days
You sheltered me with peace as you accompany me everyday
Those moments when I felt like everyone was an enemy
You alone were my best friend that supported me
I was very grateful and felt blessed, O Lord
Your words are like pearls of wisdom
A prayer to you calms my very soul
Building me up to be more like you
I praise your name forever more
You are truly the truth and life
None can love like you, O Lord
You lift me up high to the sky
Above where there is freedom
Above where there is love
Was when I found you and
When I began finding myself
Accepting myself as you have accepted me
This is why I need you, God. You fulfill me and complete me.
