Hope and Fear

Hope and fear
By Michelle Morris

The man sat down by the warmth of the fire,
Thinking back on his day of tribulations and trials;
Wondering what was next for his challenging life,
But trying to still focus on doing what was right...

For hope and fear they stand over us like a force -
We get to choose which one creates the greatest impact on our world;
And although it's easy to give advice to others who are in need,
It's not always evident the path we should tread...

That man weighed up all the pros and cons of his path, and
Made a good decision that on his family would last;
He chose hope and had faith in all the good,
Knowing that ultimately his soul's freedom was assured...

So no matter what your circumstances,
You can always prevail long term;
Have hope for tomorrow and
Your future blessings you'll have earned...
