Professional love makers are very brave and sensuous human beings...it seems every society from remote ages to modetnity have celebrated elite love makers and unfairly, hypocritically condemns the unliscensed ones. I'm fascinated by the contrast of insouciant street walker and a Mother of miracles Rajat. "Lake eyes open..." is charming metaphor. From my studies of India I'm aware that India is one of the world's largest progenitors of the sex slave trade and prostitution Rajat. J.A.B.

Justin, you are right, Statistics does not say all.In fact India is the world's largest progenitor of the sex slave trade.Unfortunately very little is done to contain it. Some NGOs are doing their best. What we need is a "Movement" against sex trafficking. Thank you for your informative comments. Love:-) RAJAT

Andrea , this poem is very special to me. It happens in our country, so sadly, young girls fall prey to human trafficking . They are forced to do sexual slavery by the flesh traders. We call them pros hookers etc and hate them. But they are also our daughters, sisters, someone's mother, So I have lifted her veil and "lake eyes open so deep a mother". That's it. LOVE.
