Honeymooning In Iceland

In Iceland we settled down in a comfortable downy bed.
My man’s arm was a comfy spot for me to rest my head.
It’s a light show that you will see only once in your life.
I loved hearing his voice, knowing he now called me wife.

This honeymoon was a dream I did not think possible at all.
Yet, my husband made it come true; he is certainly a doll.
When he showed me the tickets I loved him a tiny bit more
Which is unbelievable for he I truly a hundred percent adore.

The light show began about nine p.m. Iceland time.
The photos do Northern Lights no justice, they prance in a rhyme.
I watched with fascination as they showed off their magic in the sky.
I know I will never have a better honeymoon, thanks to my sweet guy

Love all the comments. My husband and I were almost sent to Adak, Alaska, which I hear can make or break a marriage. I found out I was pregnant so they didn’t send us there.

So you have a child to thank for that escape!

Yes, the northern lights are a spectacular phenomenon, but Iceland is not for me. I prefer to watch some great camera filming on You Tube. Keep dfeaming. / Maurice

Great humor in rhyme. I too wouldn't mind visiting Iceland, but to live in the vicinity of plate movement and active volcanoes, well that's another question? Take care.

My daughter and her family went a couple of years ago and were lucky enough to see the lights as they don't always show. I was well jealous, maybe one day. Tom

I would like to see the northern lights in real life but I don't think this old body can hold up to the cold. Good job describing it to us. All your visits are uplifting. Sara

Sounds like a dream come true for you, my friend... Interesting you mention Iceland. Have you ever returned? Now you can go to 'ice hotels.' I'm not making that up either. Check them out virtually... The very best way to put those hotels on ice! lol. ~ Jackie Gleason and the Honeymooners

I have been to all of them in "my dreams". Loving the idea!
