Honesty
Multiplying all the times
A new chance at honesty knocks.
Shocked at the speed
In which lies win the plot.
Is it a personal sabotage
upon my heart that gives?
Strengthening my patience
amongst the takers where I live?
7 letters making up a word
with such emotion.
Pure Honesty can cause such pain
but it's respected with raw devotion.
Scared of the wall that is growing
so tall and thick.
Panicked that I'll lose my gift
of love that glows like a candles wick.
So everyday I punch into work
as I step out into the world's streets.
Deciphering people actions
are you honest or just deceit?
Exhausted as I lull myself
into a sweet sleep state.
Dreaming that I'll meet someone
Along my life's road of fate.
