Homesickness
Homesickness has me
Ogling old photographs of yesteryear,
Missing all the things that make a home.
Echoes of an innocent time long ago,
Still ring silently in my heart and
I long to return to my roots and
Come home to the comfort of family,
Kick back and reclaim my youth.
Nowhere else is even close to home,
Everything in this city is either serial,
Self-serving, corrupted, or
Sexually orientated; God, I miss home!
