Homeless Man'

This story is about a homeless drug addict, Who's life was in shambles, physically and spiritually he was not fit. Scamming, lying, cheating, was his way of life. Roaming the streets for his next mark, his chances were slight. One night on a drug run, nothing was coming his way, Getting sicker by the minute, his thinking was going astray. It started to rain, no one was out on the streets, He got sicker as he walked, he was hungry and needed to eat. So finally to weak to walk on, he sat on a churches steps. Trembling, shaking, to weak to move, sleep entered and he slept. He was awoke by a night beat police officer, Told he had to move on, and he fell immediately into the street gutter. When he woke, he was in the emergency Hospital ward, Iv's in his arms, medicine given to him, he tried to think forward. "Lord, I want my life to be better, so now I'm saying, I know I'm a great sinner, and I promise to change and continue praying." He stayed in the hospital for a total of five days, His health returned slowly, he realized it was because he had prayed. Now to make this story short, he left the hospital, His life, because he turned to Jesus, made him faithful and humble. Taking his drug knowledge, the hardships, he began teaching others. He turned to God, working his mission on the streets, helping his sisters and brothers. The Lord took him to his lowest point, then took him by the hand. Brought him out of the drug world it was God's plan. Bringing his life to Jesus, this sinner was healed and now he teaches,. To all who will listen, he brings God's message, practicing what he preaches

Sometimes we have to reach the depths of despair before we look up and reach out to take God's hand, Robert. I hope this is based on a true story. There are many homeless people who could turn their lives around with God's help. Thank you for sharing this inspirational verse. Love, Carolyn
