Homeless Camp

What it is I need
To fulfill this need
Call it greed.
Maybe no one will understand
I need some land
A place the homeless can stay as they pass by
Out of the open sky
Some little huts
You may think I'm nuts
A few acres, not much
Give it the loving touch
A little hutch
Keep them dry
One less tear for them to cry
At least for awhile
Be their reason to smile
A little home
For those that love to roam
That's all I ask
Such a small task.
Doesn't need to be only me
Anyone can see
Help has to start somewhere
Let them know we care
Have some heart
They feel so apart
Could be me or could be you
So true
