Home Ward Bound Part 1

I had been put down just about all my life
Went through heartache and much strife

Lost my salvation, turned my back
on Christ, no longer felt happy.
I gave up on Larry, my family and myself,
for I was sad, as can be.

Then one day, I had sank
deep in the mirey clay.
Til I lifted my eyes towards
Heaven, one sunny day.

That Light was Jesus
standing there before me
I haven't been the same since that day,
Christ I did see.

My personal goal I set high
That day will come soon, by and by.
When He returns for both, you and me
To take us all to our home to be

Fair warning though,
better hurry and catch up along with me
Then again, I don't think I have to worry,
for that too, they'll have to see.
