Home Run Heaven

Grass stains and blood mix with sweat ---
The sky is clear and welcomes the
arrival of a well hit ball ---
The fielder glares into the sun's angry glow ---
Glove outstretched in anticipation of a great catch ---
While at the plate, the batter prays for the ball
to enter the arena of home run heaven.
