Home In the Sky
HOME IN THE SKY
God gave me a home where I’ll never more roam,
And I’ll walk upon streets made of gold.
Where I ever will hear music sweet to my ear,
And I’ll never get sick or grow old.
Home, home in the sky
I will live with the Lord by and by.
Where my friends I shall see, all of God’s family,
And I’ll never grow weary or die.
How homesick am I for that home in the sky,
And I long to see Jesus some day.
And when that day shall dawn and my troubles are gone,
In that bright land of heaven I’ll stay.
These words written to “Home On The Range.”
