Home Comforts

I used to shop until I dropped.
Now I have stopped.
I do not need anything,
It's all a lot of rot.
The shops that are still open
As many of them have gone
Sell such a lot of rubbish
I would be ashamed to put it on.
My old frame needs brightening up
With some stylish clothes
Everything is shoddy
Even underwear and hose
I'll keep wearing my best nightie
And my cosy dressing gown.
With bunny slippers on my feet
I have no wish to shop in Town.

The older I get, the more I appreciate home comforts. Take care, Shirley.

Ah, I can relate, Shirley. I haven't been shopping per se for years. I realized I put on a T-shirt the other day that was ten years old. Still looked new. I love my home, and I enjoy all the things I do here in my home. Good poem.
