Home Away From Home

Out of the darkness and to my surprise,
I stood in God's kingdom when I opened up my eyes.
First it was fear that gripped me oh so tight.
Then my son and my Savior, appeared from the light.

No words were exchanged, just lots of tears.
For he has been gone for almost 7 years.
Just like my son, I had been called home.
By our Father from above, who sits upon the throne.

As I awaken from this wondrous dream,
Sadness leaves me yearning
for this place my son calls home.
