- Holy Spirit -

Not a period
                                        maybe a comma -

                                            Why illness,

                                          why suffering,

                                           why injustice -

                                          I light a candle
                                         for care and love
                                           Let the light 
                                                shine
                                             like dawn

                                         Give us strength

                                             and hope -

                                        In faith and trust

                                      Nothing is impossible

                                               by God -

                                        The Lord's promise -

                                     Oh God, hear our prayer

                                                 Amen

You ask the questions of why pain happens, but in your piece, you remind us that we don't have to know all the answers to something to turn to Him in faith, which is the whole point to everything -- a connection to He Who loves us!
