Holiday Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses

Christmas is filled with merriment, a holiday of good cheer Carolers singing and Santa's Ho Ho Ho, we lovingly hold dear Trimming the tree with twinkling lights and garlands of gold Sharing cherished family traditions that will never grow old It's a time for embracing the things we see, taste and touch Those amazing moments of Christmas that we love so much Smiles and eyes aglow, bringing Frosty to life with new snow Fabulous feasts and sweet honeyed kisses 'neath the mistletoe Christmas with loved ones.... oh, how it sparkles and gleams and Silent Night is a whisper of love, spoken in our dreams Gifts wrapped in silver paper, tied with red ribbons and yet ~ it's the gift of God's precious Son, that we must never forget December 22, 2020 Tania Kitchin's Christmas Rhyme Contest

Thanks so very much for liking this write, David. My parents always made Christmas special with traditions handed down from their families. It's instilled in me to appreciate those "old school Chistmassy" ways.

What a super Christmas theme Jenna I especially like the final stanza as so many forget the true meaning of the celebration which gets buried under and avalanche of wrapping paper:-) hugs Jan xx

I liked the last few lines, Jenna, so many times people tend to forget why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. As for mistletoe kisses, not sure that is a good idea in this age of COVID...but we'll make up for it next year. Hugs.
