Holiday Baking

Chocolate snowballs, apple crisp, fudge and brownies too. It's that time of year again when only homemade will do. Apple pecan stuffing, a treat to go with pork. The tenderloin so perfect you can cut it with a fork. There's a streusel coffee cake I've been making most of my life. Once again it's time to sharpen my best chopping knife.. I spend eleven months a year trying not to cook but come December out I drag my favourite recipes book. The list goes on forever; muffins, cookies, pies. I turn into Julia Child right before your eyes. Chocolate snowballs, apple crisp, fudge and brownies too. Enough to feed an army or maybe even two.

Is that guy's name Skuben then? Everytime they call his name, I think they are saying stupid. So I was thinking his name might be Skupid. Good grief. I thought only one guy knew she was an ex actress and that he was voted off already. hmmmm.(I also like the tiny older woman)

what a wonderful cooking poem, francine. A long time ago it was my habit to make at least 12 different kinds of cookies and candies which I would then assemble on a line across my table and take a few from each recipe to send in tin cans to relatives. I did at least ten packages and between the ingredients & shipping, it must have cost me over a hundred. Today it would surely be double that amount. when I started being unable to lose weight , that also made me stop doing my tradition. hahaha
