Holi Holi

How I wish I was there.
On that sacred festival ground.
Laughing beneath the clouds of
Indigo, saffron,white and green.

Holy pilgrims in magestic places.
Often smiles upon their faces.
Long to return to be covered in
Indigo, saffron, white and green.

Inspired by and especially for Manmath Dalei.

My Canadian friend, Mark, sent a photo after he had been at the festival. His clothes were a mess. I was jealous of him. Even since, when I hear the song Purple Rain by Prince, I think of him, and the HOLI festival.
