Holding Smiles

When hope seems but a mystery And I'm longing for this day be done With happiness but forgotten I still find it in my son He's holding smiles that I thought I'd forgotten So tender his innocence be I can't help but with a smirk and a smile To give thanks for what God's given me I find that my day's gotten brighter I forget all my worries and cares So little but so large his heart Always finding a smile to share He's holding smiles that I thought had been lost He's finding my souls relief Like an Angel sent down from Heaven With a smile he sanctifies me So it's not about how things work out Or the hills across lifes miles In the valleys where I need him most He builds a bridge with just a smile
