Holding On To Nothing

Something in me tries to hold on
An honest nothing compared to what’s gone
Memories, infections and songs
Minds decay but I still hold on

I’ve died so much there’s not much to feel
I’d try to stand but that’s not how to heal
Climbing high converts me to steel
But falling down turns me into my fear

There’s nothing much I can ever say
My mouth just moves and riddles my pain
Nothing will ever be okay
There’s nothing left except deaths delay

For one more choice that hate will decide
One more lie where I can hide
One more voice I hear from inside
One more circle I could never deny

This is my place and where I remain
Alone in nothing and most likely insane
Holding on to what I honestly claim
The only thing they can not take is this pain
