Holding On a While Longer

Holding on a while longer

I wasn't your first priority, but I endured...
Holding onto you a little while longer...

You got angry easily, I apologized and pacified...
Holding onto you a little while longer...

My efforts weren't fully appreciated, still I smiled...
Holding onto you a little while longer...

Holding onto you a little while longer...
But you kept slipping away slowly then all at once...

I prayed for you to be happy and successful...
For me I just prayed to hold onto you a little while longer...

You have gone farther away from me now...
Little do you know, I'm still holding onto you a little while longer...
