Holding On

I have been working so hard lately
My strengths lie
I find sleep barely
My tears dry

Looking for a ray of light
From being in all the gloom
I know theres a blocking cloud
Which will go away very soon

With each passing day
I try to keep my head high
Hoping things will soon sway
And my spirit will no longer lie

I pray for a change of tide
And for my troubles to subside
For my efforts to bear fruit
And for my worries to take a mute

Though the journey may be tough
I'll keep pushing through the rough
And when I finally reach the end
I'll have a story of strength to send

So I'll hold on with all my might
And keep looking for the light
For I know the sun will shine again
And my heart will find peace again !
