Holding My Lakeland Memories

Walking along this nature path such beautiful colours before your eye revealing the greatness of God's creation such splendour and majesty sky high This reminds me so much of the lakes there surrounding Keswick so very fair walking along Derwent Water's edge glories abound but no Derwent bear! Colouring of the trees so very majestic stops one in your tracks, you must admire leaves you spellbound almost still imagine now sound of a male voice choir! These memories so forthcoming for this year covid 19 did block any opportunity to visit my delight beauty personified as feet can't walk! Being so thankful for past memories so many to look upon and gaze many a tale one could speak upon but I don't want to start a craze! (Thinking of being in the English lakes at least once a year, that's been the case for past 30 years but covid 19 stopped that this year so holding on to my memories as that's all I have of these lovely lakes.)

Your vivid imagery excels in this lovely poem Gordon. I too miss traveling. I hope our return to normalcy returns soon. But I doubt it will ever be the same. Blessings Aloha, Connie

Well I have never been to the place you have written about but your colorful description just took me on a journey back there, with all the lovely memories and experiences. I hope you get to visit the place soon. :)

everything has ground to a halt, we were due to be in Edinburgh this week and have fond memories of the last time we were there, love your vivid description of the lakes it is such a gorgeous area we used to go quite often as my best friend ran the youth hostel at Ambleside - hang on to the memories and lets hope it won't be too long before its safe for us to travel once more, stay safe my friend:-) hugs Jan xx

Hi Jan, Sorry you didn't get to Edinburgh, I saw a picture of princess street this week with not a soul to be seen! Glad you enjoyed it, hows hubby these days? I'm getting a phone call for my next check PSA appointment in June. Stay safe too, Blessings, Gordon
