Holding Hands In Silence
A friend far away, in a distant land
suddenly went incommunicado.
When confronted, he took a reticent stand,
persuasive and evasive voice mellow,
with explanations for absence shallow.
Nodding, we expressed solidarity,
even though believing in certainty
that upon him has fallen misfortune.
On our part pressing not for clarity,
playing our role, showing him the full moon.
