Hold Onto Your World

Hold onto your world little girl and please don't kill the butterflies. Remain sweet when society taste bitter and keep that light in your mind. Forget the nonsense of self-violence, because your eyes didn't vision your worth yet. Your days as a Goddess will surpass those days absent as a princess. Even if mama and daddy don't see it, you have to value the art you are. Once you forgive them and yourself, freedom will come along and kiss those scars. Your words will cover you, hovering you over places your wings didn't dare go, and honestly the sight of your soul from here is incredible and magical. The self-staring contest in the mirror you will finally win because understanding the standard of beauty was never bound to skin. You have years before those who leave bitter kisses and bruised lips arrive. You've got to hold on for dear life, don't look down and don't open your eyes. Just know you'll come out of this alive. All you've got is right now, so you've got to hold on and don't forget your way home.
