Hold On
A secret song sung to me only,
Whispering away thoughts of sadness.
Curing myself when I’m lost and lonely,
Driving away the stark madness.
A blissful awakening internally,
A prospective future of wonder.
A love that’ll thrive eternally,
No matter if hearts are asunder.
The future doesn’t scare me anymore,
For I’ve seen the angels begin to sing.
A promise to be better than before,
Our happiness is everything.
Dreaming of plans and prosperity,
No internal scares or warnings.
A path to follow, full of clarity,
If I could awake to you in the mornings.
Though the roads have gotten thick,
And the passes have gotten thin,
Fate throws me a desire that sticks,
It knows where we’ve been.
So hold on to the flames that burn,
We’ve both got the passion to yearn.
So hold on to the glimmer of light,
I’m going to make it right.
