Hold My Hand To Write

Hold my hand to teach me how to write Take me to the library. I need to shed light On a few words that I have never seen before Teach me how to spell, that can open a new door For my future. I want to learn. I’m eager to learn Feed my starving brain and help the minorities too Let’s have a picnic of great books, a book fair. I yearn For the day where everyone is literate. There’s no fool Refusing to spend some quality time at the library Show me how to pick beautiful words from the forest Eventually, I would love to write a book of comedy Many books of poetry, novels about lovers and pests Hold my hand and be patient with me and give me time To increase the zest of my writing. Show me how to rhyme I want to write about liberty, love, peace, health, and freedom Especially freedom of speech. Tonight, I hope there’s no quorum For the Board meeting. I would love to have a book party for Disadvantaged children and for minorities. Free entry at the door Admission is free! Wow! Everybody is learning and having fun When the world is literate, there will be less poverty under the sun. Copyright © March 2020, Hébert Logerie, All rights reserved.
