Hit and Run

A hit and run
A masquerade
It's just my lot now to be played.
A little daft
A bit too large
Never one to just take charge.
Way too kind
And silent too
Perfectly convenient for passing through
Go ahead
Try it out
This girl feels pain but she won't shout
Hit and run
Have some fun
Don't look behind you when you're done.

You write well Juli, i like the comparison here... just like a person who commits a true hit and run... how they never look back... great write...Linda

Sometimes there is a passing experience that hurts, knocks one down, but it sounds to me you have picked yourself up, and dusted yourself off, and have gained new wisdom at the same time. I like this poem!
