History Will Always Repeat
See that old dry creek bed, used to run bank to bank
Lighting, thunder, logs and boulders coming down
Mark my words, they will flow again someday
This time it may go over the bank
Who knows it might just take the whole town
We have to prepare that day
That scar you have there, used to be a cut
Almost went to the bone, thank your lucky star
It healed, things never stay the same
Like life, we cannot afford to get in a rut
May not be pretty, but be glad that you have that scar
A reminder on how it came
That little acorn, someday may be a big oak tree
Then form it, more little acorns will fall
As the never ending cycle starts all over again
You have to look before you can see
Before you walk, you have to crawl
Sometimes you have to lose in order to win
If it did it once, it will do it again
Yes history, kind of has a funny way about that
Sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet
Some are going to lose and some will win
There is not a dang thing we can do about that
Yes Sir, someday history will repeat
