At my greatest feelings of hopelessness, being constantly reminded of my failures to make progress in life. The quiet resentment from those knowing of your years of setback. The financial struggle, the homelessness and failure to keep my head above water. Like a deep hole you cannot climb out of though you try and try... and you try everything, believe me, everything; even things one would do by faith, sowing seed, tithing and still not seeing a change. They think something is wrong with your faith or walk with God.

They wonder why God’s Word works for them but seemingly not you; but you have no real answers for them, so the reasons are concluded in their own minds. It seems as though God has forsaken you, that there must be some unrepentant sin. And even worse than that, the gossip, the rumors, all of the things said about you are believed to be true. You don’t blame them. You think, “What if were I... if they were in my shoes, would I believe it too?” Times I wanted to disappear, times I wanted to leave the place God called me to.

In my cries unto the Lord, His answer, “I already told you. I’ve already shown you in the beginning, these things you would go through. It is not your season; but in due season; I will do what I said I will do.” God then breathes in the reminder that He is not a God that is incapable of doing what He promised. And once more and again, the sustaining of your faith is by the tireless grace and mercy of God. You then remember what you should never forget.

You are His precious gems... we are His precious stones, and it doesn’t really matter, the  state you are in today, when you have a promise of a greater tomorrow. Be encouraged friends. Weeping may endure for a night, but your joy will soon break through like the morning light. God is able to do what He said He will do, yes... and He’s going to fulfill all of the promises He made unto you. Keep the faith. Don’t throw in the towel. Your glory days are coming for His glory. You will rise!

HIS PEARL So much happening in my making, the toss and turning, and painstaking, The heights of troubles so breathtaking; for His glory my remaking Walking the ocean floors of humiliation Those who once cared, no longer want affiliation Hearing the mocking conversations Unspoken gestures, more pronounced isolation. Examining my own heart, putting myself in their shoes, If I were them, which thoughts would I choose? The deliberate silence to ensure an sure irritation, then the gift of a forced smile, for the entire duration Resisting to envy or be jealous over countless years Degradation paving the way, of the tracks of my tears. Making certain to air a graciousness through their compassionate seethe, Until my tumultuous cries break through to the point I can’t breathe. Then suddenly my whole world has new meaning to me As in an instant I am living the life I believed. My promised season finally here, Joseph’s dreams coming true. No longer dying in a cave, everything made new. I am the daughter of the King, set apart from the world, With sands of time and tribulations, God made me His pearl Was for the purpose, the great commission, so that I’d never forget, Who I was meant to be, from who I wasn’t yet. Let my story be a lesson, when God have made you the head, Those looking down on you today, will soon look up instead. God is making you into a diamond or pearl, What He will surely do for you, He’s already done for this girl.
