His Path
Almighty Father in Heaven I solely pray
To humbly ask you spare me just one day
Looking at life with eyes of compassion
Guided by powers of wisdom and devotion
This life remains more than I will understand
To fathom the dream of your even greater plan
Living here to follow a path you have created
To walk in your spirit, one day to understand
Blinded are those who stare pride in the face
To believe they control how to win every race
God paid with life to save those who followed
Each heartbeat is the only time we're allowed
