His Pain

down i went, never came up
over the edge, but i didn't jump.
broke my mind, cut my soul
bloodied my hands... life has taken toll.
into the pit, under the cloud
black as night, cry out loud.

throw me a line, give me a heart
show me the light,here in the dark.
sing His praise, say a prayer
to heaven's gate, take me there.
to see Him, who died on the cross
then i cried....
who am i to argue this: 
no pain felt, more than His
