His Name Is Exodus
There's one giant of a horse that I'd love to own,
even though he seems happy with his present home.
It's not that he has no present sense of belonging,
nor do I see in his eyes a staring spirit of longing.
It's not his great physique nor beautiful towering stature
that makes him the giant prize I would love to capture.
The proven secret of Sampson's strength was in his hair.
His lack of discipline and self control was another affair.
The key to everything Exodus* does or feel is tied to his name.
On the race track, a loud call of his name will set him aflame.
Pacer, speedster, but neither the two ever makes him a winner.
He has a mind of his own, programed and driven to be a finisher.
