His last goodbyes

A dark cold September
Rain falls
A man calls
But no one can hear
No one is near
As he lays in the rain
He thinks of his last refrain
A thought comes to his brain
He will never see his family or friends again
He takes his last breath
And closes his eyes
No one hears his last goodbyes
