His Honeyed Nectar

If words in this cookie were by Confucius written,
He must've been a man in love, completely smitten
to know its taste is as sweet as pollen to the bees
and as beautiful as Spring's buds blooming on trees.

My love's whispers are ambrosia from his tongue
Kisses from his lips are worthy of lyrics to be sung
I cannot consume enough of his honeyed nectar
And I, the one he loves, the fortunate collector.
