His Empty Life

He was a grouchy tempestuous old fool
he was estranged from his family too.
He had wealth and most of all
he had acclaim.

He had everything he wanted for sure.
He had all of that and so much more.

a self made man as hard as a gem,
but in his angry life
had not one friend.

Hi Ray both rich and poor are human beings. You can be wealthy and satisfied. I know more than one millionaire. They give much of themselves to others. The poor can be miserable just drooling over what a rich man has. Poor or rich. Up to each person to find joy. Pangie x

TY Paula, On occasion, in the late evening, my mind seems to settle from the days work. People and things infiltrate my brain maybe deeper to my soul. Them I make a note or write a poem, a thought that I can lose in a second from another distraction. I probably would write more if I could avoid the distractions that creep in.
