Hip Hop Hippie

I'm a Hip Hop Hippie.How do you do?
Simple words and phrases just won't do.
If you really want to blow my mind,
Hit me homey with a funky rhyme.
I'm a dancing, romancing son of a gun.
I'm the dude who's always down for fun.
Here's what I say.
Workers work while players play!

I'm a middle aged Caucasion.
Groovy music's my thing.
Old time rock and rap my passion.
I dig both of them equally.
I'm a father of two children.
19 and 32
Raised them with this quote from Shakespeare.
"To thine own self you must be true".

I'm a Hip Hop Hippie.How do you do.
I was born in 1952.
I'm a boomer but that's technical.
I feel like a millennial.
I've been married for a long time.
My wife's my soulmate.
Making love is still heart pounding.
We are on a lifetime date.

I'm a Hip Hop Hippie,how do you do?
I am living life by my own rules.
Hip Hip Hooray.
Hip Hop Hippie still enjoys a J.
Hip Hip Hooray.
Hip Hop Hippie is a bling gourmet.
Hip Hip Hooray.
Hip Hop Hippie living large today.

Did you listen to Jam on It or Rapper's Delight? Watch the Ninja Turtles and Shredder fight? Did you like Led Zeplin, Ac Dc, Quiet Riot? Did your wife ever try The Susanne Somers Diet? I was born in 68 that's really not a shock I too am a fan of rap and classic rock I think it's really awesome that you're on a lifetime date Cause it takes two make it through and two to separate I read your poems and in case you didn't know it They are written very well..you might just be a POET! I can so relate to this poem "Making love is still heart pounding. We are on a lifetime date." I am also born in 1952! Maybe this is why? Plus I am a hippie! Nicely penned.
