Him Or Me

I see the picture on the wall
It is not me, if I recall

the children seem to think its me
for they confuse the facts they see

the picture seems to be a man
with youth his avid loving fan

why should a man consume the space
that's not of kin inside my place

my servants dust and clean the frame
and often call him by my name

Oh well, now I remember why you are one of my favorites. A portrait of you, perhaps younger, but surely with the same unmistakeable traits? Thinking...thinking... S'early to think, Johnny. You might be writing from the perspective of another. Still, this is so very clever! Best to you, Mikki
