Hiking

Trail rise
Sun prize

          Boot tread
          Path spread

Pine air
Peak flare

          Step time
          Ridge climb

Wind hum
Legs numb

          Stone slip
          Tight grip

Shade fall
Bird call

          Stream glide
          Cool stride

High view
Sky blue

          Heart roam
          Found home

This is a fantastic footle, Christopher! I love how the steady, two-syllable rhythm perfectly mimics the physical steps of a hike. You've packed so much vivid sensory imagery into such a tight constraint—from the "Pine air" to the "Wind hum." Ending with "Heart roam / Found home" is a beautiful, satisfying conclusion to the journey. Wonderful work!🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Thank you for such kind words, Alison. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Time for me to squeeze in another hike before Summer ends!
