Highs and Lows

Feeling manic, fairly groovin'

Singing aloud as I'm hoovering.

Brilliant ideas flood my mind,

Ideas that could save mankind.

I have the answers, I know them all

It's all too wonderful, life's a ball.

But there just behind me parked

Is a place, fearful and dark.

I know it's going to call on me,

To stamp upon my reverie.

And as my joy soars ever higher,

It'll drag me down, into the mire.
